Comment: I've been using these ear plugs for nearly four years now. While they do a good job of blocking out extraneous sounds - especially for sleep - they do allow one to hear in case of emergencies.

Comment: I buy earplugs by the box because I like rock concerts. I've used lots of different brands and even different model numbers by Moldex. I find these Moldex plugs to be the softest and most adjustable inside my ear. They reduce volume, but don't seem (to me, unscientifically, anyway) to affect the sonic experience as much. (The music still has a good balance of highs and lows, not at muddy and muffled.)I repeat this is not a scientifically tested observation. Just my opinion. Plus the colors are a fun way to encourage others to protect their hearing when I hand them out to people with fingers in the ears!
